“Do you Feel the Heat?”

That pumping in your chest, that sudden drive you feel when the buzzer finally goes on. You know that doesn’t come from anywhere, but in your heart. Because you love the game. Sports in general can send this sudden drive, but seeing it live in your school is even greater. No feeling can overcome the feeling of a unity. It’s the feeling you get when you witness that final shot, or when you reach the finish line. Because you love the game!
But what makes sports in your school make you embrace the greatness? I’ll tell you why. Because in your school you are part of that unity. Sports not only involves athletes, but you. It makes you feel like you are apart of something greater. Some fail to realize that school related sport activities can lead to a positive outlook in your school. Students, especially teens, like to feel as if they are apart of their school. Physiologically they feel that need to participate and support their peers. It can bring self-confidence, excitement and friendships. This does not also go for the athletes, but you as well. There wouldn’t be a game without the crowd!
I have witnessed this myself. Parents would often gather to cheer not only for their children, but for the pride of the sport. They grin when they hear about the recent news of each game from the students when they go home. Some parents even go the distance, and even make posters for the teams. This, indeed, is the feeling of greatness. They know that when they join their team, they should be proud. They have the confidence to show their dreams to the world. Sports have long been around and connects our history. Its something that makes us human and has existed since the Roman times.Without school sports, there would one one less reason to exercise. Since the obesity rate in the U.S needs improvement, school sports can teach future citizens to prove them wrong. Sports also give you a reason to show talent, which can be both entertaining and impressive.
I’m Victoria Lynn, and I think you have today’s news!
